OPERA NIGHTS AT THE DOURO 2015
Opera Night’s at the Douro’s 4th edition marks Orquestra do Norte’s passage through two new venues: “Centro Hospitalar Conde Ferreira” and “Espaço Miguel Torga”.
From the olden Porto to the heart of the Wondrous Realm, upstream against the current, we “tell” our music stories with the collaboration of prestigious soloists from different latitudes.
We want to make this confluence between music and nature a true encounter between our people and our – in ever increasing number – visitors.
In the present Opera cycle, the realization, in concert version, of António Avondano’s “Il Mondo de La Luna” translates our commitment in divulging Portuguese music in the context of said encounter.
